Telefónica, with the collaboration of the HD Hotels & Resorts group, presented the national launch of Movistar Wifi Go, a mobile and shared data connectivity service via a mobile wifi device (MiFi), aimed mainly at international tourists, at the HD Parque Cristóbal Gran Canaria hotel facilities.
At the event held this morning, the financial and commercial directors of the HD Hotels & Resorts group, Fernando Araña and Armando Rodríguez respectively, the director of Telefónica in the Canary Islands, Juan Flores, and the director of Business Development of Telefónica España, Amaya Múgica, showed the advantages that this new service model will offer to customers of the group's hotels.
The Movistar Wifi Go service uses a mobile wifi device (MiFi) which, by means of a data card, allows five devices to be connected to the Internet simultaneously via a wireless connection, reaching speeds of up to 75 Mbps downstream and 25 Mbps upstream anywhere in Spain where mobile coverage is available.
Telefónica offers a tailor-made mobile connectivity solution. Movistar Wifi Go is a modular service that is contracted per day of use and associated data volume, with data consumption adapted to the customer's needs.
